Why Is Digital Color Management Necessary?
Color is one of those funny things where we humans can be very forgiving. For example, imagine you’re looking at a red shirt and a blue shirt. You take away either one, and—depending on what colors are surrounding it—you might mistake it for being another color altogether (like pink or purple). We call colors like these metamers, because they often appear to have a similar shade when viewed side-by-side even though they’re not really identical colors. How Does A Digital Color Engine Work?
A digital color engine is a complex and intricate series of algorithms that takes any image, converts it to a color space like CMYK or RGB and then interpolates (guesses) a result.
